In July, the production of ten non-ferrous metals in China increased by 4.1% year-on-year, with a year-on-year slowdown of 5.7 percentage points. Among them, the production of electrolytic aluminum increased by 6.9%, slowing down by 6.3 percentage points; Copper production increased by 0.8%, lead production increased by 14.8%, and zinc production decreased by 9.9%.

The prices of major non-ferrous metals are showing a downward trend. In July, the average futures price of copper on the Shanghai Futures Exchange for the month was 55437 yuan/ton, a slight increase from the previous month and a decrease of 20% year-on-year; The prices of electrolytic aluminum and zinc were 15569 yuan/ton and 14586 yuan/ton, respectively, a decrease of 2.4% and 1.3% compared to the previous month, and a year-on-year decrease of 9.7% and 15.9%.
From January to July, the national production of ten types of non-ferrous metals reached 20.87 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%, and the growth rate slowed down by 3.2 percentage points. The production of electrolytic aluminum reached 11.3 million tons, an increase of 9.9% and an acceleration of 3.1 percentage points; Copper production increased by 9.2%, slowing by 5.4 percentage points; Lead production increased by 8.9%, slowing down by 11.1 percentage points; Zinc production decreased by 6.6%, compared to an increase of 6.7% in the same period last year. The production of alumina increased by 10.3%, slowing down by 8.6 percentage points.
In the first half of the year, the non-ferrous metal industry achieved a profit of 86.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 13.9%. Among them, the profit of the non-ferrous metal mining and beneficiation industry was 33.8 billion yuan, an increase of 1.2%; The profit of the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry was 52.8 billion yuan, a decrease of 21.4%.
